PALMA DIGITART SHOWCASED
AT PETIT DETALLS IN PALMA
Palma born artist José Luis Gil Miró invites
citizens and visitors to discover his city with other eyes
Petit Detalls, with the sponsorship of Planet Space Storage and Quecuando.es, will showcase until 30 August, the attractive and colourful exhibition of digital art, “Palma Digit Art”, which invites citizens and visitors to see Palma “with other eyes”, using new digital techniques, which are making their way into the art world. The exhibit returns to Palma after being showcased in Madrid during a national tour.
The work of the versatile and creative graphic artist José Luis Gil Miró invites us, according to the Palma born artist, to “look back at the city of Palma with other eyes, to look for those hidden and surprising corners that go unnoticed on daily basis, because of our habits or the stress in which our actual world keeps us absorbed”
The exhibition highlights, through digital photographs with creative touches, those little details riddled with beauty, history and romanticism, magical places with tremendous poetry, that rock in the presence of those who slow down for a minute and stop the world around them to enjoy the simple pleasure of observing some of the marvellous and peculiar things that surround us.
“We are really glad to sponsor Palma DigitArt, because the artist captivates those historical and imaginative illustrations of the city that impresses us so much”, said Tom Sell, managin director of Planet Space Storage. “Apart from being an attractive and expressive exhibition, it will motivate the imagination of many young people who are starting to learn the new artistic techniques and a fresh invitation to all citizens and visitors to see all the endearing corners of Palma with other eyes”, he added.
The exhibit returns to Palma from Madrid, as Part of a national tour, which will continue in the autum in Barcelona.
Palma Digit Art is free to the general public. Some of the works can be viewed at the exhibit’s website, www.palmadigitart.com
